Undercover Artist – Revised Program

Access Arts is committed to showcasing the boldest and brightest artists with disabilities at Undercover Artist Festival and is thrilled to announce the festival will go ahead in a new, updated format.

As Australia’s premier performing arts and disability festival, Undercover Artist Festival is disability-led, showcasing artists across theatre, dance, comedy, circus, music, cabaret, poetry and more.

Public health and safety is the number one priority for Undercover Artist Festival and we will continue to follow the latest Queensland Health advice and directives to deliver an entertaining, enjoyable and COVID-safe program of workshops and performances.

Due to the current border and travel restrictions, we have made some programming changes which will now see Undercover Artist Festival run over three  days instead of four.

Undercover Artist Festival will now run from 16 to 18 September 2021.

  • Regrettably, two shows that were programmed for 15 September – Koo Koo the Bird Girl and The Sisters of Invention – have been cancelled.

However, there is still so much for audiences to look forward to. The festival will now open with the The No Bang TheoryPreviously sold out, this show will now move to the larger Bille Brown Theatre to kick-start Undercover Artist Festival 2021 on Thursday 16 September, joined by Nerve in a new date and timeslot.

The Closing Night Concert on Saturday 18 September will see the wonderful Aspy Jones take centre stage, headlining the final event of the Festival with his authentic and quirky blend of indie, pop, rock and roots.  However, Eliza Hull will be unable to perform.

All ticketholders will be notified of these changes and refunds will be available where appropriate.

We thank you all for your ongoing support during this time and look forward to putting on a safe and welcoming festival from 16 – 18 September. Undercover Artist Festival is presented by Access Arts in partnership with Brisbane Festival
