Artist Biographies

 

Mandy Plumb is a director, producer and performer with hundreds of productions to her credit in Australia and internationally, spanning children’s musical theatre, corporate entertainment, and improv shows at arts and improv festivals. In her late teens, she made her professional debut in the musical HAIR and went on to appear in television shows, commercials, and dabbled in film.
As well as various theatres and venues, Mandy has performed improv at the Brisbane Comedy Festival, New Zealand Improv Festival, Darwin Fringe Festival, Anywhere Festival, Bris Funny Fest, and Brisbane Improv Festival. Mandy majored in theatre at Griffith university and is the Artistic Director of Blah Blah Blah Improv.

Adam O’Sullivan (he/him) believes his background in stand-up comedy made it easy for him to transition to improv. In demand internationally, Adam has performed improv in the Philippines, Singapore, all around Australia, and New Zealand. Adam regularly teaches and performs improv. When it comes to comedy, he does it all: short-form improv, long-form improv, musical improv, and stand-up comedy! No one knows how he fits it in, but he also has a podcast dedicated to all things Dr Who.

Glenn Seaby’s foray into improv began in 2015 with an improv class. Since then, he has been fully immersed in the artform regularly performing and teaching improv. Glenn has performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Brisbane Comedy Festival, Singapore Improv Festival, Anywhere Festival, Brisbane Improv Festival, Auckland Improv Festival, and Bris Funny Fest.

Tara Lloyd Emerging artist (she/her) has been improvising with Blah Blah Blah Improv since its inception in January 2023 and she has performed in four of their student showcases. She is also a diversity model and has appeared as a background actor in several TV shows and films.

David Truong (he/him) is a Brisbane-based singer, songwriter, and musician. He first featured at Undercover Artist Festival in 2017 with his band Ambition Road.
David performs at various venues around Brisbane and he is also the accompanist for the Access Arts choir.

Kath Griffin With an improv career that spans decades, Kath Griffin (she/her) has performed improv at some of the biggest comedy festivals in Australia, as well as abroad. Kath started the only musical improv troupe in Queensland, Ho Hum Musical Improv, and has worked with Baby Wants Candy, arguably the world’s most popular musical improv troupe. She studied improv from some of the best at The Second City in Chicago and teaches musical improv workshops in Australia. Kath uses her neurodivergence to her advantage, bringing unparalleled creativity, quick thinking, and unique energy to every performance.
