You Ready For This?

The Sisters of Invention

Presented by Tutti Arts

You Ready For This? is a “sassy, unapologetic” show “that really hits home”. A defining highlight of the 2021 Adelaide Cabaret Festival and more recently the Perth International Cabaret Festival 2024, The Sisters are bringing their smash hit cabaret show to Brisbane for the very first time.

With a repertoire that delights, peppered with irreverence and humour, it is a work that deserves to reach new and diverse audiences. The 60 minute show is a unique cabaret performance packed with sensational songs, exuberant laughter and great music, and certainly has plenty of attitude. The work is disability-led, bold, brilliant and determined to challenge society’s pre-conceived ideas about who can be a pop star.

The Sisters of Invention – Aimee Crathern, Michelle Hall, Caroline Hardy and Annika Hooper – are an all-female disability led pop group based at Tutti Arts, a multi arts hub for learning disabled and neurodivergent artists on Kaurna Country (Adelaide). The Sisters write and produce original songs, collaborating with industry powerhouses Michael Ross (Electric Fields) Kathie Renner (Vincent’s Chair) and Mario Spate (aka Badcop).

Determined to challenge society’s pre-conceived ideas about who can be a pop star, the group released their second album “Stranger” in 2023 which continues to build on the success of their self-titled debut.
