Undercover Artist and Access Arts funding recipients for the Plus1 Program
Undercover Artist Festival, presented by Access Arts, have received financial support through Creative Partnerships Australia Plus1 Program.Festival Director Madeleine Little says, “We are so grateful to Creative Partnerships Australia and Arts Queensland for their support of our campaign. We have an exciting festival in store for 2023, which is only possible thanks to programs like this and the generous support of our sponsors and donors. Undercover Artist Festival 2023 is going to be phenomenal, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”Plus1 is a program which supports not-for-profit arts and cultural organisations. It’s a dollar-for-dollar funding match program to allow not-for-profit art organisations to maximise their fundraising efforts. This matched funding campaign means that we can support new, disability-led performing arts work making the stage and debuting at Undercover Artist Festival in September 2023. Access Arts Chief Executive Officer Pat Swell said, “We are incredibly excited to receive funding to support Undercover Artist Festival, which has grown to become Australia’s premier performing arts and disability festival, produced/performed by artists with disability. “This unique festival nurtures individual artistry, culturally educates and presents experiences to community that move beyond stigmas associated with disability, creating career pathways and recognising excellence,” Image Description: A female with long brown hair, wearing a dark brown sparkle jumpsuit stands tall with her arms beside her side palms facing out.
