About the workshop

You’ve got an amazing act, and an excellent marketing plan – now it’s time to take the show on the road!  

Facilitated by Wiradjuri yinaa, Nicole Reilly, Tour It! will introduce you to the world of touring and help you create a strong Tour Pack. It will also give some context to creating a tour with stops at fringe festivals and the differences between fringe, regional and mainstage venues..  

Topics include: 

  • What Is a Tour Pack? 
  • How To: Approach venues and festivals. 
  • How To: Provide examples of your work. 
  • How To: Tour Budgeting and Scheduling. 
  • Tips and Tricks: Accessible touring. 

Audience

Artists who are disabled and/or d/Deaf, and are interested in taking their show on the road and pitching their art to venues and festivals.  

Non-disabled and hearing artists who wish to join are very welcome.  

Artforms: theatre, dance, comedy, music, performance art

Facilitator

Nicole Reilly

Nicole Reilly, a queer wiradyuri yinaa, works across creative producer, director, and teaching-artist roles, as well as being the Enoch Scholar (QUT) and inaugural Wandima Fellow (The Brisbane Powerhouse). She is currently Senior Producer at BlakDance. Nicole has produced sold-out seasons for Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre, a touring multicultural music conversation “Songs of Gaia”, a theatrical EP release “The Bigger Picture” at both RPAC and QPAC for celebrated Quandamookan musician Sachém, a site-specific contemporary First Nations ceremony “Dawn Awakening” for Horizon Festival, and has presented at Drama Queensland, Drama Territory, Drama Australia, Stage Queensland and Newcastle’s StageCon. She is currently focused on nation-rebuilding through creative practice.

Who are these workshops for?

We program these workshops with disabled and d/Deaf artists and artsworkers in mind, but we very happily welcome all artists and artsworkers who are interested in attending.

All events have a REGISTER NOW button at the top of the page.

Online Workshops

Is the online session on Zoom or Teams?

The online sessions will be run on Teams. You will fill out a form and be sent a link post registration. 

Yes, the online session will be recorded. It will be shared privately with all registered attendees.

 

It may take a week or two to become available so that we can ensure that the captions work.
