About the workshop

Eliza Hull has written music for TV, radio and film. She has toured nationally and internationally and performed in venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Recital Centre.

During this songwriting workshop Eliza will share insight into writing a song and helpful prompts for times when inspiration doesn’t strike. This session is for everyone and will cover collaborative rhythm making, lyric writing, melodic hooks, writing to a brief and song structure. Eliza believes that everybody has a story, and she will share how you can tap into yours through song.

Each person will have the start of a song by the end of the session, combining all these new skills. Accessibility is at the heart of this inclusive workshop.

Free registration to participate, BYO instrument if you play.

Having established herself as one of Australia’s most important voices and striking songwriters of recent years, Castlemaine-based artist Eliza Hull has proven the longevity of her art, and continued evolution. New single ‘Running Underwater’ sees Hull work with ARIA Award-winning producer Pip Norman (Baker Boy, Missy Higgins). Her song writing talents have led Hull to co-write with artists Gordi and Odette – collaborations both set to appear on her forthcoming EP, Here They Come which is due out later 2023.
